Elvis Presley Birthplace And Museum

306 Elvis Presley Dr.

The Elvis Presley Museum was originally opened in 1992 and consisted mainly of the personal collection of Janelle McComb, a Tupelo resident and long-time family friend of Elvis and the Presley's. Completely renovated in 2006, the state-of-the-art museum still pays tribute to Janelle McComb's friendship with Elvis as the genesis of the museum through an exhibit area titled "Remembrances of Things Past." The new museum exhibit contains Tupelo artifacts, large photomurals and graphics and two audiovisual presentations that will bring to life the childhood world of Elvis in Tupelo including his family and his first music.

My experience was better than I thought it would be. It was very slow so the experience was very intimate. Everything outside is free to the public with little walk ways that share information on history of Elvis' humble beginning and the history of the home itself. If you would like a tour inside Elvis' first home the fee is $3.00 The tour guide was the cutest.

AWESOME!! Loved the museum, the store was small, but lots of choices. The church was phenomenal...they had 3 screens come down that made you feel as if you were actually part of the service. And the home this superstar was born into was so tiny! The greeter inside of the house was absolutely AWESOME. She actually knew Elvis and his family. So she was a wealth of information!

Most amazing experience of my life!!(besides Memphis) lol Such great history & I'm a MAJOR Elvis fan! It was awesome seeing everything. We went at night on our road trip so we didn't get to go into anything but I can only imagine what it would be like, if we did! Definitely worth the stop!

Unique and friendly experience with historical significance to Elvis and Rock n Roll music. Entertaining, clean and air conditioned! Beautiful landscaping and water features. Highly recommended!

The birthplace of Elvis Presley was wonderful! The little house is a deep contrast to Graceland! The church service was very good too. The gift shop wasn't too expensive either.
