The over look is so pretty. Especially sun rise and sun set. The fishing options near by are also awesome. If you are traveling the Trace and you have the time please do stop and enjoy the various over looks along the Trace. With about 400 miles of Trace you will have plenty of opportunities to stop and see the aites as well as learning about the Natchez Indians. There are information plaques all over the Trace.

Every American should drive the entire length of the Natchez Trace :-) very great for kids and people that would like to be educated about the Native Americans and also about living in the south. From the swamplands to the hills of Tennessee this is a very wonderful place. Goes through three states all the way from Natchez Mississippi through Mississippi to Alabama to Nashville Tennessee ending and a wonderful Cafe that you must stop in to eat at at the end for breakfast or supper. You got to do it :-) take a weekend and take your time and enjoy yourself and your family.

A beautiful place to come hang out on a sunny day, come look up at the night sky for a meteor shower, or just to park your car and have a picnic. I love this overlook and have found myself driven to take occasional visits for as long as I’ve lived in the area. The reservoir itself is a beautiful place, and the overlook is a great way to get a taste of that!
